Kauai Vacation Rentals are a terrific way to not only save money on your vacation budget but it also gets you away from the crowds of a resort or hotel.

Vacation rentals on the island of Kauai are usually privately owned and operated by local Kauai residents. The rentals are referred to as rentals by owner.

This writer has been visiting Kauai for 20 plus years and cannot remember when the last time I stayed in a hotel or resort. The first time I went to Kauai I stayed in a resort in Poipu. It was nice but I never got a chance to relax and enjoy my vacation due to all the people and noise. The next time I went to Kauai I stayed in a vacation rental and the rest is history. I always stay at a Kauai Vacation Rental during my vacations to the islands.

When staying in a Kauai Vacation Rental you get a chance to enjoy the real Hawaiian island the way it was intended. I usually stay in Kapaa. Kapaa is a laid back little town a short trip from the airport in Lihue. You will find lots of terrific restaurants and vacation rentals. As well the shopping is terrific. Kapaa Kauai is located right on a wonderful beach. There is also a great state park that is frequented by locals as well as vacationers. It is located on the beach with lots of BBQ areas and plenty of room for your children to play.

The Kauai vacation rental that I usually stay at is called Fern Grotto Inn. They have several rental units that are traditional in design and function. Located on a beautiful river and is only a 10 minute walk to the beach.

The next time you are considering a vacation on the island of Kauai look into staying in a vacation rental. You will have the opportunity.  You will truly get the chance to slow down and experience what is fondly called Hawaiian time! You will also save a great deal of money in your budget.
