On-site Keyword Optimization
In regards to on-site Keyword Optimization the Google God has not dropped down and given me a revelation into the magic formula for the use of Keywords in Website Design. But combining many years of Internet Marketing, SEO, and reading most everything available on the subject I have come to the following conclusions.
- On any given Web Page starting with the Page Title and working through the H tags, Content, Meta Description there should be a continuous story told using the target Keywords for that individual web page.
- Try to write Content using not only the main Keywords, but also the plurals, abbreviations and the semantically related equivalents.
- There is no magic number for how many words in any given article, but the more words you can incorporate into content, the more chances you have of using the targeted Keywords.
- Keyword Density is a ongoing subject in Website Design. Most experts agree to around or less than 10%. That means for every 100 words you may use your chosen Keywords 10 times. I personaly try to use my Keywords at the beginning of the Content and the end of the last paragraph, sprinkling a few in the middle. Keeping in mind that the entire page from the Page Title to the last paragraph is considered in this formula.
Bottom line the old saying with us SEO gurus is content is king. Good content and lots of it are the best way to gain favor from the Google Gods and achieve high ranking in the organic search engines.
